As the name suggests, PDF Performer is a program that views PDF files.
The interface is clean and well organized, but the yellow color of the main window is a bit tiring. This tool is portable and it doesn’t install on your computer. The basic functions of this application allow you to toggle among single page, facing page or book views.
When you open a file, you can change its view to presentation or full screen mode and even to rotate it. If you want to zoom the file, you can choose its actual size or you can fit the page, the width or the content. It also has some preset zooms.
The application has a useful search function that helps you find a specific word or a phrase. If you have a document with lots of pages, you can easily find the desired page by entering its number. The program comes with a favorite function which gives you the possibility to add a document to the favorite list. A thing that I liked a lot about this tool is that you can convert PDF to Text easily by selecting the 'Save as Text' command.
It’s very helpful when you have lots of important files and you want to find and open them fast. If you want to know more about a specific document, you can click the 'Properties' option where you can find out the author, the date when it has been created or modified, the PDF producer and so on. However, the application’s help function is not very efficient. Instead of offering information about how to use this program, it redirects you to the developer’s website where you find no tips about this tool.
To sum up, this program works well with PDF files and it doesn’t consume your computer’s resources. It has lots of useful functions that are easy to use. Although the official website says that the tool can send PDF files via email, I haven’t found how to do that. Beside these drawbacks, I think this is good working software and it’s worth trying.

- Helpful Favorite function
- Unpleasant main page
- The developers say that the program can send PDF files via email, but it is impossible
- You need an Internet connection every time you launch the app
